Job Description and Duties
Under the general direction of the Deputy Director of the Office of Youth and Community Restoration (OYCR), the Staff Services Manager I, Specialist, will serve as a highly-skilled independent, non-supervisory contract and project manager, performing a variety of complex business management duties, grant management, project oversight, technical assistance and procurement functions with one or more state entities (i.e., California Conservation Corp (CCC), California Department of Correction and Rehabilitation’s (CDCR) Pine Grove Fire Camp, and County Conservation Camps) or other vendors to lead OYCRs Workforce Development youth track. These functions require a high level of interpersonal, analytical and communication skills and independence of action in carrying out the responsibility for decisions on assigned projects. The incumbent must possess good judgment, is effective in working with others, and is proficient using Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint. The liaison is expected to engage with youth, staff and executives from OYCR, CCC, CDCR, as well as various county staff and executives. As a result, the Liaison must also demonstrate extreme tact and professionalism to accomplish their tasks
The Workforce Development youth track focuses on youth who are justice impacted as well as youth on probation, youth transitioning from Secure Youth Treatment Facilities into less restrictive programs, and youth re-entering the community after his or her release from incarceration.

Working Conditions
The work location is very convenient! The CHHS office recently moved into the newly constructed Allenby Building at 1215 O Street in Downtown Sacramento. We are one block away from light rail and public transportation; within walking distance to the State Capitol, parks, restaurants, farmer’s markets and the Golden 1 Arena. We offer an onsite cafeteria, coffee shop and a workout room. Our building has easy access to I-5, Highway 50 and Highway 80.
This is a remote-centered telework position. A teleworker is considered remote-centered if they work fifty percent (50%) or more of their time from an alternate work location (e.g, employee's home).

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and effective editing skills; highly skilled with Microsoft products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Word).
- Ability to maintain poise and good humor while working in a time-sensitive and results-oriented environment.
