Job description

DSH-Napa General Services Department, currently has one full-time limited term vacancy with possibility of becoming permanent or extended up to 24 months for a Staff Services Analyst (SSA) classification in the Procurement Section. Assists Budget/Contract Managers with departmental needs and ensures commodities purchased meet all guidelines set forth by governing rules and regulations. Acts as liaison between program management, supervisors, and Financial Services. Ensures specifications are within Department of General Services (DGS) guidelines and incorporates Small Business/Micro Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (SB/MB/DVBE) activity. Consults with management and employees regarding procurement issues/process, including training as needed. Attends procurement related classes to ensure compliance with DGS requirements. Presents findings to Business Service Officer III and Procurement staff and dissemination to appropriate areas. Ensures appropriateness of funding strip, vendor information via Fi$Cal, Budget Management's approval and procurement approach on purchase documents and amendments for the hospital.

Founded in 1875, Napa State Hospital is the only state hospital in Northern California for persons struggling with severe mental illness. Classified as a low to moderate security facility, the hospital has a bed capacity to treat up to 1,362 patients on an attractive campus with treatment units located on 138 acres. Staff is dedicated and committed to delivering high quality, cost-effective, professional services and specialized programs in an environment that promotes continuous improvements in treatment for individuals with mental disabilities.
