What You'll Do
Samsung is looking for C/C++ developers experienced with distributed clusters and the cloud. The Samsung Data Platform (SDP) is a distributed, scale-out data storage product for workloads that utilize unstructured data that we are evolving to support cloud-scale deployments. We seek experienced developers with expertise in architecting, designing, and developing software for state-of-the-art distributed applications deployed in public or private cloud or on-premise virtualization platforms.
The successful candidate must be a strong team player, have excellent communication skills, and have experience developing Linux-based highly available distributed systems, focusing on performance and quality.
Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose headquarters 3-5 days per week with the flexibility to work the remainder of your time remotely

What We Offer The pay range below is for all roles at this level across all US locations and functions. Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors-including the role's function and location, as well as the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.

Base Pay Range
$108,000 - $218,300 USD

- Module level architecture, design & development of Storage Systems software
- Demonstrate attention to detail and an eye for quality
- Senior-level role involves significant responsibilities and requires creativity, leadership as well as passion to build high performance flash based Storage Systems
- Provide technical guidance to junior developers, code reviews to ensure meeting design requirements
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's with 10+ years or Master's with 8+ years or PhD with 5+ years of experience in Computer Science or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience developing enterprise software solutions in C/C++ on Linux.
- Experience in developing distributed systems, file/object storage, scale-out systems
- Experience in developing flash based Storage Systems
- Experience in environments such as Hyper-V, VMware ad containers is a plus
- Solid understanding of Operation Systems concepts, Computer Architecture
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience in developing cloud (AWS/Azure) based systems is a plus
- Experience in building network file systems is a plus
- Proven record of on-time delivery of production quality software.
- Experience in developing key-value stores (Optional)
Language experience:
- Must have 10+ years of C++/C development experience for Linux.
