Staff Accountant

Nesco Resource is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our long-term client in Stratford, CT. This is the perfect opportunity for someone with a few years of Accounting experience under their belt looking to make the next step! This is a direct placement opportunity. 55-75K!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily cash reports and reconcile transactions.
- Post monthly journal entries to the ledger.
- Reconcile ledger accounts for accuracy.
- Assist with annual audits.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels.
- Conduct cost and variance analyses for manufacturing operations.
- Manage fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to change.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
