STAFF ACCOUNTANT

The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Review of corporate invoices / expense reports for accuracy and assign cost allocation and payment due dates
• Liaison with franchises and accounts payable for all new vendors, charitable events
• Prepare and analyze detailed payment reports from delivery providers for tax department
• Prepare and analyze weekly financial and inventory reporting for internal and external distribution
• Preparation of corporate office bank deposits with cost allocations
• Review weekly cash deposits to ensure compliance with cash handling procedures
• Generate adjusting entries, with supporting documentation,
• Support timely monthly and year end financial close and audits
• Respond to questions from franchises by researching and interpreting data
• Review fixed asset transactions to ensure dispositions are recorded on a timely basis
• Preparation of personal property tax filings, provide monthly cash forecasts for tax payments and ensure invoices are obtained for all franchises
• Assist with the coordination of annual utility processes to ensure compliance with local requirements
