In this job you will work with Low-Pressure boiler operations involving some of the following equipment checks:
Low-Pressure boiler operations including LWCO tests, water column blowdowns and other controls checks depending upon whether the boilers are hydronic or steam.
Steam boilers will be less than 15 psig
Hydronic(hot water) boilers will be less than 160 psig and less than 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
Most locations, especially the steam plants will require water treatment tests and chemical pump adjustments
Hot water plants may require maintenance such as adding oil to circulating pumps.
Other equipment may include condensate tanks, DA tanks, economizers, fuel pumps, air intake controls, fuel train controls, air compressors, burner controls, etc. The operator will take readings on equipment and may be asked to check or take readings on equipment not related to boilers that is located in or near the boiler room.
The above equipment is listed to give you an idea of the kind of equipment you may encounter. In actuality you will just need to check a few readings plus a few water treatment results.
As a full-time operator, you will be assigned a truck or a van and we will provide maintenance insurance and fuel.
