Title: Staff Accountant
Terms of Employment: Full-Time; year round
Job Class: Exempt
Job Goals: 

The Staff Accountant manages financial transactions, prepares budgets, and ensures compliance with accounting standards. The Staff Accountant works with multiple facets of the business department including working with payroll and accounts payable in processing and reconciling accounts. The Staff Accountant will work closely with other departments to support fiscal planning and transparency. The work requires considerable technical judgment to ensure accurate accounting of often complex and unusual financial transactions. The position reviews accounting and other business system processes for continuous improvement, recommends process changes, and documents procedures. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred. Other knowledge and skills are:

• Accounting experience in Fund Accounting  

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including skilled in Excel 

•  Knowledge of School ERP Pro Software preferred but not required

• Knowledge of GAAP  

• High attention to detail  

• Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills  

• Strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills; organizational skills and theability to work in a team-oriented environment and/or independently
