We are seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work within a vibrant and fast-paced environment, playing a vital role in our financial operations. You will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts; preparing and analyzing budgets; and performing general bookkeeping. This role requires a strong understanding of financial accounting, account reconciliation, and financial statements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable financial rules and regulations, including GAAP.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
- Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
- Oversee taxes and abide by federal regulations.
- Manage the general ledger and devote time to risk management, especially with regard to accounts receivable.
- Prepare and execute monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, which include bank statements, fixed assets, employer’s benefit costs, and accruals.
- Assist with financial and tax audits.
- Assist with preparing tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
- Assist the financial department, other managers, and senior executives to help make financial decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- CPA or pursuing CPA is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other financial software.
- Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proven experience with financial accounting, account reconciliation, general ledger, and financial statements.
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
