The Staff Accountant is responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll and providing general finance support to the Director of Finance and Accounting Manager.
General Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing monthly reconciliation reports for balance sheet accounts
- Enter monthly journal entries
- Audit daily revenues and prepare report to track daily, monthly, and annual revenues
- Assist other team members as needed with guest phone calls, bank audits, and AP batch approvals
- Reconcile group bills
- Manage AR accounts
- Compile and send Daily Audit packet for approval
- Add hoc duties as necessary
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Must possess a positive attitude

- Must maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
- Must have strong writing skills
- Must have proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours per day
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.
- Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, FAX machines, photocopiers, dolly and other office equipment as needed
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
Qualification Standards:
Education: High School required. Colleague degree preferred
Experience: 1 to 2 years previous experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel
Licenses or Certificates: none
Grooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)
The expected pay range for this position is $26 to $28 per hour.
