Description and Qualifications
Do you have a passion for numbers and a desire to work with a growing company? Come join our team as a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will perform a variety of financial duties including, but not limited to, bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and general ledger account reconciliations. The ideal candidate must have a passion for helping others, be highly organized, and possess the skills to perform the essential job responsibilities below.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following although other duties may be assigned:
- Reconcile GL accounts and prepare journal entries
- Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany accounts and other accounts as assigned
- AP invoice review and data entry
- Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly
- Research variances in reconciliations
- Support the accounting and operations teams
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.
Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers and interact with our guests.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with a major in accounting
- 3 -5 years of accounting experience
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Must be proficient in Excel
- Knowledge of general ledger software, Sage Intacct a plus
- Must be capable of learning new computer software programs quickly
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, managers and team members
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Must have the mathematical and analytical skills necessary to perform accounting/financial duties satisfactorily
REASONING ABILITY
- Must possess good common sense and the ability to communicate complicated accounting principles in simpler terms
- Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- 90% of job is sitting while using a computer
- Must possess good organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple task in a fast-paced environment
