Form of work Job Summary:
The position is responsible for preparing and maintaining financial reports, journal entries, detailed report account reconciliations, and other budge related documents.
Essential Responsibilities:
Prepares and posts journal entries.
Prepares and analyzes account reconciliations.
Updates QuickBooks monthly
Reviews general ledger and conducts a variance analysis.
Assists with annual audits.
Assists with the tracking of operation leases and contracts; maintains renewal terms.
Assists AP with audits, redemptions and other AP issues or projects.
Reviews bank account balances.
Provide input into department's goal setting process.
Assist with tax audits.
Support month-end and year-end close process
Assists with accounting related projects and special meetings.
Interacts with members from the accounting department and other departments within the organization and members from subsidiary companies.
Provides other accounting and accounts payable support and performs other duties as assigned.
Assist and updates process and procedures, as necessary.
Reconcile Petty cash.
Assist with Amex expense reports.
Generate check deposits weekly as needed/as backup.
Pickup and distribute mail as needed/as backup.
Assist with monthly intercompany reconciliations.
Provides backup support to accounting department as needed.
Perform duties and projects as assigned.
The Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field, required.
2-4 years solid accounting experience.
Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting - GAAP.
Familiarity with clerical practices, office procedures, and automated equipment.
Strong knowledge of all MS Office products.
Ability to perform computations with reasonable speed and accuracy.
Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to accept additional responsibilities as needed.
Strong customer-service orientation, verbal communication, and telephone skills.
Professional appearance.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred.
