We're the New Terminal One (NTO) at John F. Kennedy International Airport, a bold and exciting project to develop a world class, international terminal that can serve as a global
gateway to the New York metropolitan area and the greater United States. The $9+ billion first phase is the largest single asset project financing in US history.
It will be built on sites now occupied by Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and the former Terminal 3, where it will anchor JFK's south side. Construction will take place in phases, with the first
phase, including the new arrivals and departures hall and first set of new gates, expected to open in 2026.
NTO will set a new standard for design and service and aspires to obtain a global Top 5 Skytrax rating as one of the finest ten airport terminals in the world.

Who you are:
You are a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with a passion for numbers and a commitment to accuracy. With a strong foundation in accounting principles and financial management, you are well-versed in preparing complex financial statements and ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
What are we looking for :
- 5 + years of related experience.
- Strategic thinker who has the ability to multitask.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial statement preparation and general ledger maintenance.
- Experience with bank reconciliation and transaction coding.
- Familiarity with treasury functions and payment analysis.
- Adept at conducting monthly reviews of payment files and preparing accruals, payments, and accounting journal entries.
- Ability to respond to ad-hoc requests from finance and other departments.
- Expertise in cost accounting and preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
- Competency in managing accounts payable and assisting with annual audits.
- Diligence in ensuring payments are correctly charged and in comparing budget allocations with actual invoices.
- Experience with creating invoices, purchase orders, vendor accounts, and managing expenses.
- Skill in recording monthly accruals, amortization journal entries, and handling recurring journal entries for revenue recognition.
- Proficiency in maintaining and updating accounting software systems.
- Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley.
What will you do :
- Provide comprehensive support in all aspects of accounting duties, from assisting in financial statement preparation to maintaining the general ledger.
- Execute transactional duties, including the creation of financial documents and coding invoices.
- Collaborate with business process owners to update and maintain the accrual file and execute manual journal entries.
- Coordinate with software vendors to ensure the accounting systems are functioning optimally and recommend updates for system enhancements.
- Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books.
- Record monthly expense accruals (in JDE) based budgets.
- Record all amortization journal entries.
- Record related expense for any prepaid amounts.
- Process Manual Recurring Journal Entries for revenue and other
- Book Accrual entry for invoices received and not approved in the current month.
- Process Manual Journal Entries Submitted for Approval
- Prepare and Update Accrual File based on meetings with Business Process owners.
- Coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software systems; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
