Winona's is a family-run restaurant nestled in Northern Bed-Stuy. Anchored by seasonally-driven food, thoughtfully curated natural wine, and community events with guest chefs, and wine experts.
In partnership with Ownership and the Executive Chef, the General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the establishment and providing leadership to all FOH employees.

Expectations :
You will lead our FOH team in all day-to-day operations, ensuring that they deliver our standard of hospitality and service.
In tandem with the management team, you will be expected to revisit and revise our current steps of service as needed, to ensure a balance between system efficiency and profitability.
Your ability to communicate in a manner that is calm, patient, and direct is as important as the policies and directions you choose to implement. Identifying and recruiting diverse and committed employees, ensuring that their training and time management is on par with our standards.
Resolve any internal conflicts that arise through mediation and progressive discipline practices.
Maintaining a dining-room and work environment that promotes friendliness and generosity.
Be apart of weekly meetings to discuss all policies, service issues, bookings, events and strategies. You will be responsible for making sure that all decisions made during these meetings are followed through on for your team.
You will also participate in meetings pertaining to P&L, Workflow Productivity, Overall Costing, Payroll budgeting. Together with the Executive Chef you will be a responsible for working toward reaching and quantifying the goals which are set out each month.
Your regular schedule will be 5 days a week on a 40+ hour work week, with the occasional jump into coverage if the restaurant and operation demands it.
Some of these days you will work on the floor, with one dedicated admin day.
