About the Role:

Are you a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant seeking a surgical environment with patient autonomy? This Assignment in New York offers an ongoing weekend schedule (Friday- Sunday) with a blend of inpatient and outpatient care.

Cases & Procedures:

• Perform 3-7 surgical cases daily across various procedures:
  • Bariatrics
  • Plastics
  • GYN
  • Colon-rectal
  • Urology
  • ENT
  • Thoracic (minimal)
  • Ortho (minimal)
• Possess strong experience in laparoscopic, open, and robotic surgery
• Cases include pre-op physical exams, suture removal, diagnosing illnesses, ordering and interpreting tests, assisting in surgery, writing prescriptions, coordination of care, and consultations/ER

Schedule:

• Weekend schedule (Friday-Sunday)
• Consistent hours: 7 am - 7 pm or 7 pm - 7 am
  • PRN call only

Requirements:

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certified in General Surgery
• Minimum 3 years of General Surgery experience
• ACLS, BLS, and RNFA certifications
