Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) who will be part of the Manipulation Engineering team focused on next generation robotic system design, as well as supporting the existing fleet of robotic & automation technology.
The TPM will manage the full project lifecycle of innovative programs aimed at improving the efficiency and lowering the cost of Amazon's next-generation Fulfillment Centers, Sortation Centers, Air Hubs, and Air Gateways.
This position is responsible for the planning and execution of NPI & Sustaining programs while serving as liaison between Systems Engineering, Deployment Engineering, Solutions, Manufacturing & Supply Chain, & Customer Support.

Key job responsibilities
Lead the effective and efficient delivery of complex Manipulation based Product Development programs and projects, working across all engineering disciplines.
Work with key stakeholders to define and deliver against project goals, including both technical and operational deliverables. Collaborate cross functionally to support extensible solution development and integration.
An ideal candidate has experience with complex system design, including experience integrating hardware and software deliverables. Drive consensus on technical decisions and ensure the appropriate resources are employed to deliver high quality results Lead the development and decomposition of comprehensive functional requirements & specifications, partnering with Product Management and Systems Engineering.
Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at the program level. Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders. Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities. Develop and drive engineering project schedules. Deliver programs across all engineering disciplines including Hardware, Software, Solutions, Regulatory Compliance, System QA, and Deployment.
Partner with groups external to the Manipulation Engineering to successfully deliver on project goals. Triage, prioritize, and execute against incoming requests from the field or partner teams.
A day in the life
There is no typical day in the life of a TPM at Amazon Robotics! The role is dynamic, and successful TPMs are able to manage a variety of tasks and context switch as needed from strategic planning to technical decision-making, to tactical execution, and critical time-sensitive problem-solving.
TPMs are responsible for hosting stand-ups and status meetings, developing content for program reviews, managing risks & resources, and keeping schedules up to date and the development team on task.
A TPM may switch between all of these activities throughout the day, or may spend an entire day dedicated to a resolving a specific problem, or supporting the team with a hands-on approach, building a prototype, executing a test, or architecting a solution.
