Sr. Tax Accountant - High Net Worth Clients

Our client is a boutique San Francisco firm that primarily serves High Net Worth individuals and their related tax issues. They are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with an interest in personal and professional growth and top-flight customer service. The firm is split in two segments: Accounting and Legal, and handles complex estates with a high standard of integrity. 
We would like to meet candidates who have:

• 4+ years of taxation experience with High Net Worth Clients
• Experience with complex estates
• A desire to work in a stimulating environment with a culture of mentorship
• Experience at Big Four firms
• CPA license is a plus

Job description

• Prepare tax returns for individuals, business entities, trusts and estates
• Compute estimated federal and state income tax payments
• Prepare amended returns and carryback claims
• Prepare personal tax projections
• Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
• Prepare property tax claims
• Proactively interact with clients to gather information and financial documentation to prepare returns, develop tax strategies, resolve tax-related problems, and respond to audits
• Examine financial situations by analyzing accounting records, financial statements, tax documents, and other relevant reports and procedures, and prepare recommendations for business and accounting processes and improvements
• Undertake tax research projects as directed
• Ensure continued professional development by remaining current on modifications in tax law and reporting, accounting standards, and the features of the latest tax preparation and accounting software programs.

License/Certification

• CPA (preferred)

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Accounting/Accountancy
• Experience: 4+ years’ experience as a Staff Accountant doing Taxation

Job Type

• Full time, on site, Monday through Friday 

Compensation

• Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
