We are seeking a knowledgeable SeniorTax Professional to join our team. In this role, you will prepare clients tax filings and advise them on strategies to maximize savings and make sound financial decisions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of tax laws and best practices in tax preparation.
Responsibilities
- Review and prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals (1040), partnerships (1065), and corporations (1120 and 1120S) income tax returns to satisfy compliance requirements and support effective business/tax planning.
- Developing tax strategies to assist clients in being tax-compliant
- Perform budget and cash flow projections.
- Monitoring developments in tax legislation, Informing management and staff of developments in tax legislation
- Supervising, training, and mentoring Tax preparer staff
- Identifying tax problems and developing solutions
- Conduct initial meetings with potential clients to discuss the services offered and estimates of cost
- Educate clients on the tax submission process
- Analyze income statements, previous tax returns, and other financial records to determine taxable income
- File taxes in an accurate and timely manner
- Communicate with tax authorities when necessary
- Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field
- Valid Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
- Previous experience as a Tax Professional
- Knowledge of federal and state tax laws
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
