Sr Tax Accountant

Position Overview:

As a Senior Tax Accountant with a minimum of 4 years of public accounting experience, you will play a pivotal role in our tax department. Working closely with partners, directors, managers, staff, and clients, you will oversee multiple tax engagements, ensuring their orderly completion and maintaining clear communication regarding progress and any notable developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and direction of complex tax engagements
• Conducting thorough compliance tax research and preparing related memorandums
• Reviewing and delivering tax projections to clients
• Providing expert assistance to clients on accounting and tax inquiries
• Interfacing with IRS and FTB agents during examinations
• Mentoring and reviewing the work of interns and staff accountants
• Conducting staff training on technical topics and software
• Participation in recruiting events

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA license required
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a public accounting firm
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Taxation (a plus)
• Familiarity with PFX tax, CCH Engagement, and QuickBooks
• Strong research skills
• Experience in reviewing staff work

Skills and Attributes:

• Proficiency in corporate, individual, and partnership taxation; international tax knowledge is advantageous
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
• Strong presentation and organizational skills
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities
• Capacity to manage multiple engagements while supporting business development efforts
