The Sr. Systems Administrator serves as a technical expert on the TrueCare IT team and will be responsible for the management of on-prem Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure AD & our Azure cloud tenant. Additional duties include the management of SSO IdP applications in Azure AD, management of Azure Endpoint Manager & Entra ID and other services such as Exchange Online & SharePoint Online. Automating common tasks via scripting with PowerShell or other common scripting languages is required. This position has a HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE! 2 days remote/3 days in the San Marcos office.
Essential Functions:
- Performs day-to-day administration of the organization’s IT systems infrastructure, including proactive monitoring using SolarWinds for all servers, applications, and services to ensure high availability.
- Installs, configures, and maintains multiple server environments which include development and production, and ensuring proper integration with other organizational systems.
- Maintains on-prem windows infrastructure and network services such as Active Directory, AD Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, File servers, and VMWare vCenter. Maintains online versions of SharePoint & Exchange.
- Manages all enterprise Azure AD applications and configures & maintains single sign on applications & IdP environment.
- Manages the Azure environment to include creation of new virtual machines and management of existing virtual machines.
- Assists in maintaining a highly integrated virtual environment using virtualization technologies in a VMWare environment.
- Assists in developing, implementing, and testing server and data level disaster recovery plans.
- Provides user support for all user-based systems, including aiding IT staff members with more complicated technical requests.
- Provides ongoing tier-2 and tier 3 user support of all system/application incidents reported through the service desk phone/ticketing system, including on-call coverage, as required.
- Assists the Network Administrator in the management of WANs, LANs, VPNs, Wi-Fi and firewalls in our Meraki environment.
- Implements changes using documented procedures that are compliant with the department's policies and procedures.
- Maintain proper and up to date documentation in the IT Knowledge Base system.
- Stays current with respect to state-of-the-art technology, equipment and/or systems.
- Completes defined personal and team goals on time.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science plus 5-8 years of systems administration experience with 700+ end users or an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional systems administration experience.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server OS versions, Active Directory (on-prem and Azure), SharePoint & Exchange Online.
- High proficiency in Microsoft EndPoint Manager (InTune), Microsoft Entra and AutoPilot experience.
- Understanding of enterprise infrastructure and virtualization platforms such as VMWare, Citrix
- Understanding of management of cloud hosted environments such as Azure or AWS.
- Understanding of network standards & protocols.
- Standard application proficiency, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Qualifications Desired:
- Experience leading medium to large projects.
- Experience with effectively managing assignments as prioritized from a ticketing system.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications: Modern Desktop Administrator, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, Certified Azure Administrator or similar.
- Understanding of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rule and the HITECH Act.
Licenses:
Will be required to travel between all TrueCare sites and locations therefore California Driver’s License, proof of insurance and clean driving record required.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position. If you are hired at TrueCare, your final base salary (within the pay range), will be determined based on factors such as education, knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members when determining any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer generous benefits and retirement plans.
