Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the architectural design of AI-enhanced applications, focusing on creating scalable, efficient, and secure solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems and Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with project managers, .NET developers, SharePoint admins, and cloud engineers to define technical requirements, assess potential AI integration points, and determine architectural approaches that align with business goals.
- Define and maintain architectural standards and practices for AI Application Development, ensuring adherence to best practices in software engineering, AI integration, and cloud deployment.
- Evaluate and recommend Azure AI services and tools (e.g., Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning) that best fit the project requirements and organizational objectives.
- Oversee the development and implementation of AI models, ensuring they are effectively integrated into application solutions, with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Act as a technical mentor for the development team, providing guidance on AI technologies, architectural best practices, and advanced problem-solving techniques.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in AI, machine learning, and cloud architectures, ensuring our Application Development strategies remain innovative and competitive.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex architectural concepts into understandable terms and demonstrating the business value of AI-enhanced applications.
Required:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, AI, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on software architecture and design.
- Extensive experience in application architecture and development, specifically with .NET technologies (C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET) and Microsoft SharePoint.
- Proven expertise in AI and machine learning, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions using Azure AI services.
- Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services and infrastructure, with experience in deploying scalable, high-availability applications in Azure.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a team of developers and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A deep understanding of software engineering best practices, architectural patterns, and design principles, particularly as they relate to integrating AI into applications.
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
Compensation and Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $120,700.00 to $163,300.00 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
