Sr. Sale Specialist Pay Rate: $16.25/hr
What You Will Do:
The Sr. Sales & Product Specialist (Sr. SPS) is responsible for assisting the Store Manager, ASM 1 - Sales Supervisor and ASM 2 - Sales Support Lead in the daily operations and maintenance of the store warehouse and the retail sales floor. Individuals in this role are focused on supporting the store warehousing, operating and selling processes, customer service and helping the store achieve or exceed sales and profit goals on a daily, monthly and annual basis. A key accountability is insuring overall customer satisfaction throughout the sales and product delivery processes. The Sr. Sales and Product Specialist is also responsible for the overall management and operation of the store in the absence of the Store Manager (SM), the ASM 1 - Sales Supervisor and the ASM2 - Sales Supervisor. This role involves extensive heavy lifting and routine movement of product. This is considered a "key carrier" position and is responsible for opening and closing the store and routine completing required daily store reports.
What We're Looking For:
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assists the Store Manager in executing the daily operations of a retail store including but not limited to; sales, gross margin, customer satisfaction, safety, inventory control, expense management, merchandising, setting promotional events, training, opening/closing, cash handling, SAP and facility maintenance.
• Works closely with the all members of the team to create a store culture and climate of inclusiveness and respect where associates adhere to the highest standards of customer service and focus on driving sales by embracing all elements of the Company sales processes, and support of complementary businesses (i.e. Credit, Delivery, Pro Sales and Installations).
• Demonstrates excellent product knowledge and understanding of operating processes.
• Updates notes in the SAP system (pick-up, follow-up, comments, issues, etc.)
• Achieves personal sales goals and helps ensure achievement of overall store sales and profitability goals as well as operational metrics.
• Proactively assist team members, managers and other associates as needed
• Answers phones, makes required sales calls, and responds to customer inquiries as necessary.

• Resolves customer service issues and complaints in a timely manner to the satisfaction of the customer and to the benefit of the Company.
• Assists in maintaining a clean, organized and well merchandised showroom.
• Assists in the set-up and maintenance of regular and promotional event signage and plan-o-grams.
• Updates shipping labels, product labels/signs and pricing as needed.
• Helps maintain a clean, neat, and well organized warehouse as well as other support areas of the store.
• Adheres to all warehouse product banding requirements, safety standards, policies and OSHA regulations.
• Protects company facilities, assets, merchandise and equipment from loss and/or damage.
• Accurate and timely receiving of merchandise shipments.
• Accurate and efficient loading of customer orders.
• Preparation of outbound shipments and deliveries.
• Prepares customer orders for pick-up and delivery.
• Operates a forklift in a safe manner for material handling and warehouse organization.
• Builds productive, collaborative working relationships with coworkers and other LL Flooring stores.
• Timely completion of all required components of Company training, certification and compliance programs.
• Adheres to the Company Code of Business Conduct (Ethics) and other policies and procedures.
Additional Requirements:
• Solid written and oral communication skills
• Basic retail math skills
• Proactively assist team members, managers and other associates as needed
• Complete special projects and perform other duties as assigned
• Ability to see assignments through to completion and to multi-task in a demanding environment.
• Regular and predictable attendance and the ability to work a flexible full-time schedule including evenings, frequent weekends (Saturday and Sunday), holidays and overtime as scheduled.

What You Need to Succeed:
Education:
• High School graduate, GED or equivalent required
Related Experience, Qualifications and/or Certifications:
• Three to six months of related sales/retail/customer service experience; hardwood flooring knowledge a plus
• Previous warehouse or stockroom experience preferred
• Demonstrated internal knowledge of store systems.
• Demonstrated internal sales and operational ability; Regional Manager Certification required into role.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) skills a plus
• Computer Skills / Special Equipment Knowledge:
• Experience using a Point-Of-Sale (POS) system
• Outstanding telephone skills
• Ability to drive/operate a forklift required (forklift certification required prior to operating equipment)
Sr. Sales & Product Specialists generally work in a warehouse and retail sales environment that involves the use of office equipment, such as computers and telephones, machinery/mechanical equipment, ladders and heavy equipment (forklift). Routine exposure to frequent and heavy lifting, moderate noise, outdoor elements (heat and cold) and airborne particles. Little to no travel required.
