- Engage in quality planning activities for new programs with emphasis on Ballistic Manufacturing, Testing and Data supporting Tier 2, Tier 3 and Management Review.
- Coordinate with purchasing / manufacturing on supplier quality issues
- Oversee Corrective action process, .
- Maintain supplier quality metrics and work with outside vendors in Ballistic Testing requirements and data collection and reporting.
- Assist in preparing inspection sampling plans, FMEAs, quality control plans.
- Develop test methods and related procedures, quality alerts, signage and visual aids to improve overall effectiveness of processes and performance.
- Conduct and/or oversee internal audits as lead auditor, scheduling and leading internal audits, audit reporting and closure.
- Conduct and / oversee Corrective Actions, updating CAR logs and evidence gathering to ensure appropriate evidence, actions, root cause and verifications are performed in a timely manner.
- Support Quality / Engineering ensuring product requirements are met, determining risks, and identifying product testing requirements to support new and existing product development and into production.
- Conduct quality training, onboarding, recurrent training as required.
- Maintain test records (electronic and hard copy) for easy retrieval.
- Perform detailed data analysis and prepare reports.
- Support customer-specific requests including, but not limited to, testing, product certs (COC) and related test data.
- Engineering Degree, Mechanical, Biomed or Chemistry
- ASQ CQE certification or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role supporting quality assurance as lead, or supervisor.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Flexibility to adapt in a fast paced and changing environment
- Excellent organizational / time management skills and ability to multi-task
- SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to analyze data metrics and present results of data to team.
- Technically, demonstrate astute understanding of process control, controllability and variability of process, trends and out of control.
