Title: Sr QA Analyst
Location: 1414 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28203
Duties: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications, ensuring thorough coverage of functional requirements, system integration, and regression testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to gather requirements, clarify specifications, and ensure that quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle. Conduct manual and automated testing activities to identify and document defects, inconsistencies, and areas of improvement in software applications. Utilize testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Python, Cypress or similar, to automate test scripts and increase testing efficiency. Participate in requirement analysis and design reviews to provide input on testability, usability, and overall software quality. Perform system, integration, performance, and scalability testing to ensure the stability and reliability of software applications under different scenarios and loads. Monitor, track, and report defects and issues using bug tracking systems, such as JIRA or HP ALM and follow up on defect resolution and retesting. Collaborate with development teams to investigate and troubleshoot issues, providing detailed information and analysis to support root cause identification and resolution. Mentor and guide junior QA analysts, providing training and support to improve their testing skills and knowledge. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, new testing methodologies, and emerging technologies, and propose process improvements to enhance the overall quality assurance process. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test environments, including test data preparation and configuration management. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand user requirements and provide feedback on usability and user experience aspects of the software application.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a QA Analyst, QA Engineer or in a related position performing manual or automated test engineering. Full term of experience must include the following: performing requirements analysis, test planning, strategy and execution, defect tracking, UI quality assurance testing, and release support; conducting negative test scenarios; utilizing agile processes, including SCRUM, and Continuous Build and Integration; working with QA methodologies, publishing test reports, and maintaining QA metrics; and using Jenkins for deployment and working with web-based technology architecture and data structures.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $110,261 to $148,350, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
