Job description

Senior Manager - Product & Content Marketing

These individuals deeply understand their target audience’s everyday challenges and can succinctly explain how their product helps solve customer problems. Through close collaborations with product owners, marketing content designers and writers, and product developers, Product Marketing Managers are able to shape effective marketing content.

Objectives of this role

  • Lead development of value propositions for all Shoals Technologies Group products
  • Work collaboratively to design process and execute meaningful product launches with timelines & deliverables
  • Gain a thorough understanding of our solutions and offerings, identifying their unique competitive advantages in the market.
  • Conduct thorough research to gauge customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape, informing our solutions positioning.
  • Craft compelling, customer-centric messaging and positioning for our solutions that resonate with target audiences.
  • Create and implement comprehensive go-to-market plans, defining messaging and content strategies, and identifying effective promotional channels.
  • Develop a suite of sales enablement materials, including product presentations, data sheets, web pages, and other collateral to articulate the value proposition of our solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to supply the necessary tools and resources to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Produce a diverse range of high-quality marketing content positioning us as a thought leader in our industry, including blog posts, eBooks, infographics, videos, webinars, and social media updates.
  • Collaborate on planning and executing marketing campaigns to drive solution awareness and portfolio growth.
  • Engage in persona development and implement SEO best practices to boost visibility and search rankings.
  • Create and follow an editorial calendar, ensuring materials are delivered on schedule.
  • Research industry-related topics to produce original content.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance, using insights for continuous improvement.
  • Collect and utilize customer feedback to refine marketing strategies and content creation.
  • Establish and uphold content guidelines, governance, relevance, and quality standards, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Assist in the development of the annual marketing plan.

Skills and qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in content marketing, content strategy, Product Marketing, or a related role
  • Extensive energy, sustainability and/or relevant B2B industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus
  • Strong understanding of product positioning and messaging
  • Excellent content creation and writing skills, including the ability to write in different styles for different audience types and goals
  • Strategic thinker with strong organizational and project management skills
  • Analytical approach with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
  • Creativity in developing compelling messaging and marketing materials
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects and deliverables concurrently
  • Knowledge of industry trends and standard methodologies
  • Experience working in North America and globally, and a deep understanding of the cultural and business nuances
