MAXIMUS is looking for a Sr. Principal IT Solutions Architect responsible for the technology design and definition of go-to market solutions. The ideal candidate will have a wide range of experience across various technologies, architecting Microservices based solutions using, open-source technology platforms, knowledge of cloud providers, and security. As a member of the Technology Strategy & Solutions group, the candidate must be able to operate independently and demonstrate experience leading/guiding a team to architect, develop and implement impactful next generation federal agency led mission systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the technology design and definition of software solutions.

- Work with Maximus systems and operations staff to design cost-effective integrated technology solutions comprised of both in house and commercial off-the-shelf products.

- Act as lead technical representative and spokesperson supporting pre-marketing and proposal activities.

- Drive the decision-making for technical decisions in conjunction with systems technical staff.

- Document technical strategies to facilitate operational business needs.

- Review federal, state, and company policies to determine applicability to systems functionality, design, and operation.

- Develop strategies to fulfill requirements and assess effectiveness of implementation.

- Collaborate and coordinate with appropriate internal and external groups to ensure the confidentiality and security of all corporate information.

- Work with Maximus systems and operations staff to design cost-effective integrated technology solutions comprised of both in house and commercial off-the-shelf products.

- Act as a technical representative and spokesperson supporting pre-marketing and proposal activities (RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs).

- Provide technical solution support during proposal development process, to include technology stack selection, solution architecture, and implementation methodology

- Drive the decision-making for technical decisions in conjunction with systems technical staff.

- Document technical strategies to facilitate operational business needs.

- Review federal, state, and company policies to determine applicability to systems functionality, design, and operation.

- Develop strategies to fulfill requirements and assess effectiveness of implementation.

- Collaborate and coordinate with appropriate internal and external groups to ensure the confidentiality and security of all corporate information.

- Develop and provide presentations and demonstrations of technology solutions to both internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in related field required.

- 12-15 years of relevant professional experience required.

•Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required

•Must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years developing and architecting solutions using technologies like JAVA, Scala, Closure, SOA and Microservices platform, Cloud Native services in AWS / GCP / Azure

•Good understanding of technologies such as Low code/No code platforms, ESB/SOA, Microservices, Data Management, Analytics and Machine Learning, RPA, Cloud, and other technologies

•At least ten (10) years of hands-on experience in architecting, leading and delivering enterprise solutions

•Recent hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise AWS technologies-based solutions including leading a team of technical SMEs

•Proven experience communicating with non-technical business personnel and ability to interact and work in a team environment.

•At least five (5) years of recent experience directly guiding and mentoring technical SMEs and providing management of program technical tasks

•Should have at least five (5) years of experience using Agile development methodology, and working experience in a DevSecOps environment is highly desired

•Professional implementation experience should include both project management and solution architecture tasks to include designing, implementing, and improving business processes

•Strong have demonstrated skills with analytical problem-solving abilities

•Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills to senior management both internal and external including SMEs

Additional Requirements as per contract/client:

•Ability to obtain and maintain a Clearance

•Green Card Holder / US Citizens only

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
