Senior Organizational Learning Leader/Manager

Position Overview:

Join Johnsonville s Global Member Services andOrganizational Development & Learning (MSOL) team as the Senior Organizational Learning Leader/Manager. This position plays an integral role in helping Johnsonville achieve its mission, to create an environment that requires members to fully develop their God-given talents and help others do the same. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing learning and development programs for Johnsonville. You will partner closely with leaders, members and teams to enhance the skills, knowledge, and capabilities of members to drive individual and organizational performance, while living The Johnsonville Way. Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Johnsonville and its members for the future by owning the strategy for leadership skill and knowledge development, aligning it with company objectives and The Johnsonville Way

    • Build and sustain the organizational competency model as a framework for individual member and leadership education programs
    • Lead the design, planning, implementation, and sustainment of learning and development programs to nurture and enhance leadership skills at all levels
    • Partner with external vendors, technical colleges, and universities to collaborate on the design/development of leadership education programs and measurement of effectiveness
    • Work with leaders to develop targeted development plans for senior leadership role successors identified in Johnsonville s succession planning process to address talent gaps
    • Design and implement a standardized career mapping process that supports the goals of the organization and member development
  • Stay abreast of learning technologies and incorporate innovative tools to enhance the learning experience
  • Oversee the implementation of learning management systems (LMS) and other relevant platforms
  • Coach the LMS Administrator responsible for owning the learning management system
  • Partner with and provide consultation and coaching to teams to elevate team results and engagement, solving challenges with learning solutions, group collaborative or team building processes
  • Forge partnerships with external training solution providers as well as industry experts (i.e., ATD)
  • Influence and coach leadership by sharing ideas and best practices internally to continuously advance the learning and development of the company
  • Stay abreast of latest developments in leadership and Organizational Learning practices
  • Facilitate a wide range of training programs and develop the facilitation calendar for all leadership training courses and programs
  • Manage external consulting firms and vendors in the execution of supported projects

Education:

  • Bachelor s Degree in related field required (e.g., Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Organizational Development, Human Resources); MBA or master s in organizational development or related field is preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of Organizational Learning or human performance consulting experience in an adult learning environment; or business leadership experience with a proven track record of making a positive impact on the learning culture of an organization
  • Previous success demonstrating an ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders to include executive level implementing innovative solutions that improve organizational performance
  • Proven experience designing and developing effective learning and development solutions that address business needs)
  • Experience with human-center design thinking and modern learning practices (preferred)

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong consultative, relationship building, interpersonal and influence skills in dealing with all levels of leadership with the goal of meeting business needs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess learning needs and evaluate program effectiveness
  • Change management: strong experience with change management best practices
  • Knowledge of instructional design, learning technology, and adult learning theory
  • Project/program management: ability to scope, plan, resource, manage and implement learning and development initiatives
  • Excellent professional facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and best practices in Organizational Learning
  • Problem solving and systematic thinking skills: Systemic thinker who provides thought leadership in driving integration between people processes
  • Values that align with the Johnsonville Way culture

Other Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work across shifts as well as across departments for training and development needs at all levels of the organization
  • Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 15%)
