We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Packaging/Display Design Manager to join our creative team. The Packaging Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire packaging design process, from conceptualization to production. This role requires a combination of artistic talent, project management skills, and a deep understanding of branding and market trends.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team of Packaging and Display Designers to develop innovative and visually appealing Packaging and Display solutions.
- Foster a creative environment that encourages collaboration and the generation of unique design concepts.
- Develop and document brand guidelines for assigned brands.
- Manage end-to-end Packaging and Display Design projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchants, e-comm, product development, and production to align design concepts with overall business objectives.
- Work closely with the marketing team to understand brand guidelines and develop packaging designs that reflect the brand identity.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor packaging strategies, and market dynamics to inform design decisions.
- Implement rigorous quality control processes to ensure that all Packaging and Display Designs meet brand standards, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing specifications.
- Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure the highest level of quality in the final products.
- Collaborate with external vendors, printers, and manufacturers to execute Packaging and Display Designs effectively.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure cost-effective production without compromising quality.
- Have a strong understanding of packaging materials, printing techniques and formats, and production processes to guide the team in creating designs that are feasible for manufacturing.
Required skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in packaging design, with a portfolio showcasing successful projects.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with print production processes and materials.
