The Manager, Record to Report is a manager level accounting position handling transactional accounting and management reporting for the Financial Shared Service organization at Winland Foods, Inc. This position will be involved in the areas of international Corporate Consolidations, Transactional/GAAP accounting, Cost Accounting, and Management reporting. This position reports to the Assistant Controller.
This position is responsible for leading a team that handles internal and external financial reporting tasks, consolidations and intercompany eliminations, SG&A transactions and reporting, balance sheet accounting, variance accounting and reporting, cost accounting, month end close and assisting with company acquisitions and integrations. This position will also be responsible for internal and external audit and tax requests.
Month end Close responsibilities include journal entries and reconciliations, and reviewing others’ journal entries, reconciliations, and reports. Ensures proper documentation is being completed to comply with Internal Control requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manages the Corporate Accounting Team during the month end process and on regular reporting and integration projects and processes.
- Accountable for the overall performance and tasks prepared by the team, providing guidance and resolving escalated issues.
- Responsible for the month end work including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and completion of other ad hoc requests.
- Involvement in confidential accounting transactions such as bonus accruals, stock based compensation, severance, and plant closing activities.
- Guides Corporate Accounting team in SAP ERP enhancements and multi-entity accounting guidance and support.
- Assists and leads reporting changes/requirements for acquisition system integrations. Includes but not limited to acquisition accounting, SAP integrations, and providing corporate guidance to Controllers from newly acquired entities.
- Leads reporting improvement efforts in all financial systems for the Corporate Accounting Team. This includes but not limited to Financial Reporting projects, Consolidation coordination with international entities and acquired companies.
- Performs regular SAP system maintenance, setup and review of new system requests.
- Provides timely, constructive coaching and feedback regarding performance including metrics management and addresses performance issues.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferred
- CPA required
- Experience consolidating international companies with multiple currencies
- Minimum of seven years of progressive accounting and managerial experience required; Manufacturing experience preferred
- Proven skills in developing people
- Demonstrated track record of accomplishing objectives and solving problems
- Process improvement experience preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and monitoring progress
- Knowledge of financial systems and multiple ERPs (SAP preferred)
- Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Teams) required
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results
- Excellent communication skills (formal and informal) with business acumen and ability to communicate within all levels of the organization, setting a tone of working in partnership and collaboration
- Occasional travel to business meetings may be required
