Sr Network Engineer - Remote

Position Summary:
The Network Engineer Sr is an advanced position within the Network Engineering team who is responsible for independently designing, planning, configuring, and supporting all aspects of company’s complex data network and the delivery of network services in a 7x24 online support environment.

Essential Job Functions:
-Manages the purchase, installation, and support of network communications, including LAN/WAN systems. Responsible for evaluating current systems.
-Plans, designs and implements large scale systems projects through vendor comparison and cost studies.
-Provides work leadership and training to other Network Engineers.
-Analyzes local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluation, selecting operation systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges and other devices.
-Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including e-mail, files transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing and the like.
-Supports acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.

Education:
-Generally, requires a BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience. Certification: CCNP required, CCIE preferred.

Experience:
-7+ years of related IT network engineering experience
-Requires expert knowledge of complex LAN/WAN systems, networks, and applications
