Job Summary
A successful candidate will have extensive background in all aspects of networking technology. This individual must possess strong business analysis skills, converting business requirements to technical specifications/architectural designs, working as a subject matter expert during development, testing and deployment activities, and understanding long-term technology and design goals. This role is for someone who enjoys network design, architecture, planning, embraces new technology, and feels strongly not only about building large networks but also complex migrations and scaling network infrastructure to next level. The candidate must enjoy a close-knit team environment of shared responsibility
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

- Research new technology advancements and conduct evaluations focused on optimizing and improving network configuration, performance, capacity, availability, and operational reliability.
- Plan, design, implement and document all network related projects.
- Defines and maintains technology standards.
- Establish and maintain backup, version-control of all network operational systems.
- Troubleshoot network architecture and make recommendations for system fixes and enhancements.
- Make recommendations for leveraging network installations & reducing operational costs.
- Partner with cross functional peers on both infrastructure and application solutions.
- Conduct transformational infrastructure project implementations driving service transition from architecture into operational delivery.
- Manage hardware/software vendors, service providers and 3rd party partners.
- Lead network related work for Mergers and Acquisitions.
- Provide third tier of support for all networking issues including routing, switching, wireless, security and unified communications.
- All other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- 10 + years of experience in a Network Engineering role in enterprise environment with geographically dispersed locations.
- 5+ hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki switch/WIFI, Palo Alto NGFW, Infoblox DDI, Cisco ASA, ISR, ASR, Catalyst/Nexus switches
- Expert level understanding of EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, Ethernet, DSL, DMVPN, QoS, COS, SNMP, VoIP, VLANS, Subnetting, Supernetting, Trunking, Virtual Networking, SASE (SDWAN and all other components), WLAN, NetFlow, network monitoring systems, cloud service providers such as MS Azure and OCI.
- Experience with designing and implementing global networks which includes multi-site, high-availability, load-balanced infrastructure solutions (active/active).
- Cisco CCNP or related industry certification required
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
- Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
- Requires travel to plants (domestic US and international) with overnight stays; may require staying on job for 1-2 weeks at a time.
Work Environment
- Job functions will be carried out in an office, plant and data center environment.
