You will lead Wireless Networking technology for rental customers as a Live Event Wireless Networking Engineer.  You will work closely with Rental National Account Managers (RNAMs), Live Event Project Managers, Regional Rental Directors, and customers.  You will be responsible for oversight of the technical application of Wireless Networking, including recommendations for adding new products and services. 

Responsibilities:

  • This role will support temporary Live Events and must travel 50% of the time. This position will work out of the Garland, TX office.
  • Meet with clients in conjunction with RNAM, Live Event Project Managers and Live Event Managers to support the design of Wireless Networking systems including microwave and Private LTE
  • Troubleshoot Wireless Networking for Live Event Project Managers and Live Event Managers onsite at events
  • Develop standardized processes and procedures for deployment and troubleshooting of Wireless Networking products
  • Provide training internal BearCom rental team and customers on all Wireless Networking equipment and applications
  • Research and development of new product lines and services
  • Present new product costs and benefits for analysis to upper management
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of Wireless Networking product line
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Develop standard operating procedures, spreadsheets, and site maps  
  • Required to have the ability to deescalate customer conflicts
  • Required to multi-task and work under specific time constraints
Qualifications
  • 4-7 years of Wireless Networking Engineering experience, including experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, and/or Cambium NetworksPTMP networks is a requirement.
  • Must be experienced in engineering, deploying, and troubleshooting temporary deployments in the field.
  • Must be familiar with CBRS / private LTE technology.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. and work at an event for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Must be able to travel extensively to support Live Events on-site
