Job Description
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Engineer who will be supporting Simulation Model development for weapon integration on the F-35 Platform. Activities will include:
• integration and testing new simulation models
• scenario development
• pre-flight and post-flight analysis
• verification and validation of new models
The candidate must have experience in weapon system and sensor modeling, both for the items to be modeled, and the synthetic modeled environments used to stimulate the simulated hardware. The M&S Engineer must be able to work with subsystem and SW engineers to integrate MATLAB models, C++ models, and actual OFP code into the simulations. The M&S Engineer must be proficient in C++, MATLAB. The candidate must have good communication skills and must be comfortable working in a collaborative environment
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Must currently hold an Active Secret Clearance.
Must have demonstrated mastery of C++, MATLAB.
Desired skills
Prior experience with Modeling and Simulation
Demonstrated capability with both IR and RF threat modeling.
Demonstrated the ability to perform some combination of the following Modeling and Simulation (M&S) assignments:
Ability to design a high-fidelity system simulation capable of predicting system pre-deployment performance.
Perform Modeling and Simulation tasks for hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL), and 6DOF Integrated Flight simulations (IFS).
Perform Modeling and Simulation tasks for system survivability, Safety of Flight (SOF), and end-to-end battle management systems (BMS).
Integrate guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms into a high-fidelity IFS.
Perform trade studies and Simulation analyses with the objective of enhancing and optimizing system performance capability.

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $93,400 - $179,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $107,400 - $202,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
