Responsibilities
- Mechanical engineering and design of commercial and military products
- Utilize product development process to develop products that meet both cost and performance requirements
- Perform various forms of engineering analysis to evaluate product performance
- Create 3D designs and assemblies
- Support and solve product issues both on site and in the field
- Guide mechanical designers and junior level Mechanical Engineers
- Decompose technical requirements into actionable tasks
- Component sizing and selection
- Testing and analysis of new and existing products
Qualifications
- Passion in design and development
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Creativity to solve customers' problems
- Desire for hands-on prototyping and fabrication
- Ability to work in a diverse team
- MS in Mechanical Engineer and 5 years' experience, or BS in Mechanical Engineering and 6-8 years' experience.
- PE license or ability to obtain PE license helpful
Nice to have
Familiarity with the following:
- Refrigeration system and operation
- Military and commercial (MIL-STD, UL, CE, etc.) standards
- Control systems and PID loops
- NX/Teamcenter
- System integration
