CarShield is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in developing and designing our next-generation products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering, a proven track record in industry product design, and extensive experience using Onshape for CAD modeling.
This position is responsible for:
- Product Design:
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of innovative products in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Conduct thorough research to understand industry trends, user needs, and competitor products to inform design decisions.
- Generate detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using Onshape to communicate design intent.
- CAD Modeling and Simulation:
- Utilize Onshape to create and modify complex 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings focusing on manufacturability and performance.
- Perform engineering analyses, simulations, and validation tests to ensure designs meet specified requirements and standards.
- Collaborate with simulation and analysis teams to optimize product designs for structural integrity, thermal performance, and other relevant factors.
- Prototyping and Testing:
- Work closely with the prototyping team to bring concepts to life by creating physical prototypes.
- Conduct rigorous testing and analysis of prototypes to validate design assumptions and iterate on designs as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, industrial design, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components into the overall product.
- Communicate design ideas and technical information effectively to team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in industry product design with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.
- Proficiency in CAD modeling, explicitly using Onshape.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and materials science.
- Experience with simulation tools and FEA analysis is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
