Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our customer in Melbourne, FL.
Here's what you'd do:
- Participate with the design, fabrication and modification of mechanical and/or electro mechanical components, sub-systems and systems.
- Mechanical Analysis, Aerodynamics/Fluids, Thermal, Fluid Systems, Mechanical Packaging, or others.
- Evaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or services.
- Investigate solutions to product or process problems.
- Responsible for leading group of engineers on a technical activity and completion of activity on time and budget
- Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems
- Use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments.
- Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable
- Provide budget, cost and schedule input for design assignments
- Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services
- Drive the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements
- Develop prototypes to retire key development risks
- Participate in preparation of proposals
- Provide technical knowledge and assistance to other engineers and support personnel
- Lead and direct the work of others as assigned
- Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings
- Lead less-experienced engineers
Here's what you'll get:
Pay: $100/hr
Hours: Monday-Friday, 1st Shift; 7am-5pm (9/80 work schedule -every other Friday off)
Length: Temp to Direct

- Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Fluency in technologies and application domain
- Extensive experience in 3D CREO Parametric CAD software.

- Extensive experience in 3D CREO Parametric CAD software.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and precision assembly methods.
- Good understanding of ASME standards.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and tolerance analysis.
- Strong understanding on how to use model-based definitions (MBD).
- Good understanding of how opto-mechanical test systems work and how to design for them.
- Experience with test equipment and/or EO/IR technology and products.
- General understanding of electronics for interpreting and generating drawings. For example, design/assembly of cables and how to interpret their wiring diagrams.
- Ability to solve complex problems.
- Precision mechanical and electronic packaging design experience required.
- Tooling design and product testing.
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
