- Conduct timely, thorough, and impartial investigations into Employee Relations matters globally, and make recommendations for resolution and/or corrective action.
- Collaborate with HR partners and business leaders to provide guidance on Employee Relations issues
- Proactively identify and address trends in workplace conflicts and Employee Relations issues and recommend strategies to address them
- Develop and implement strategies to foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive work environment for all employees.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of BlackLine’s workplace policies and procedures to ensure compliance with global employment laws and regulations, including Global Employee Handbook and country addendums.
- Interpret policies and procedures, incorporating knowledge of state and federal employment laws (i. e. ADA, FMLA, EEO), and provide recommendations to resolve complex employee issues
- Lead cross-functional projects related to HR compliance updates
- 5+ years of HRBP or Employee Relations experience conducting complex Employee Relations investigations in a global company
- Bachelor’s degree or higher education; JD and/or employment legal experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of US state and federal employment laws including but not limited to: FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, OFCCP
- Working knowledge of and passion to learn about employment law regulations in Canada, Mexico, EMEA, and APJ, including experience with unions and works councils
- Experience building and improving workplace policies and practices
- Proven ability to track, prioritize and drive multiple concurrent investigations and compliance projects
- Experience collaborating with people team functions such as HR Business Partners, Operations, and employment legal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Experience working in a SaaS company and knowledge of Tech industry is also a plus.
