Job description

The Sr. Learning and Organizational Development Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training, leadership and development programs across all organizational sites (Yuba City, Dryers, Fleetwood, Santa Cruz Chile). This role involves assessing training needs, creating innovative learning solutions, and fostering a culture of continuous Learning and development.

The Sr. Learning and Organizational Development Manager will collaborate with various departments across all sites to identify opportunities for organizational improvement, enhance employee performance, and drive overall business success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

            The following duties are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.  Other related duties may be required and assigned.

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments across all sites to identify skill gaps and training requirements.
  • Design and develop effective, engaging, and scalable training programs and materials for diverse locations.
  • Implement a variety of learning methodologies, including e-learning, instructor-led training, workshops, and on-the-job training, tailored to each site's needs.
  • Oversee Production training packets and progress.
  • Implement and execute skilled training program.
  • Create and manage leadership development programs across all sites to nurture and enhance the skills of current and future leaders.
  • Collaborate with senior management at each site to identify high-potential employees and implement succession planning initiatives.
  • Develop and enhance onboarding programs to ensure new employees across all sites receive a comprehensive and effective orientation.
  • Work with HR at each site to integrate onboarding with ongoing training and development initiatives.
  • Implement and manage performance management processes across all sites to align with Sunsweet’s core values and goals.
  • Provide training on performance management for both employees and managers, customized for each site's requirements.
  • Stay current with learning technologies and tools to enhance training delivery and effectiveness across all sites.
  • Evaluate and implement Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other relevant technologies that align with each site's specific needs within UKG system.
  • Collaborate with various departments at each site to align training programs with organizational goals.
  • Communicate training initiatives effectively to employees, managers, and other stakeholders across all locations.
  • Establish metrics and evaluation methods applicable to each site to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Analyze data and feedback specific to each site to continuously improve and refine training strategies.
  • Develop and manage the training and development budget across all sites effectively, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge/Skills: 

  • Knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and various training methodologies.
  • Experience in designing and implementing training programs for all employee groups.
  • Ability to assess organizational needs and develop strategies to address gaps.
  • Knowledge of change management principles to facilitate smooth transitions within the organization.

Ability to: 

  • Travel to different sites.
  • Work onsite Monday – Friday (with AWS work schedule option).

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing training programs, preferably in a senior managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of Organizational Development principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with learning technologies and tools.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Certification in Training and Development or related field is a plus.

Physical/Safety Requirements: 

  • Tolerate extended periods of sitting at desk.
  • Ambient noise is louder than a traditional office setting.
