Job Summary: The Senior IT Manager will play a critical leadership role in our manufacturing organization, overseeing the development and implementation of technology strategies that align with our business goals. The Senior IT Manager will share responsibilities leading the technology team, ensuring the effective deployment of new technologies, and maintaining the technological infrastructure of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and implement comprehensive technology strategies that align with the organization’s goals.
· Oversee the research and evaluation of emerging technologies, recommending acquisitions and investments as appropriate.
· Ensure the reliability and efficiency of IT and manufacturing technology systems.
· Lead the technology team, including IT professionals, engineers, project managers, and other technical staff.
· Collaborate with other department heads to integrate technology solutions that improve operational efficiencies.
· Manage technology budgets and timeframes.
· Remain current with advancements in technology and manufacturing industry trends.
· Ensure compliance with all technology-related legal and regulatory requirements.
· Report to senior leadership on technology strategy and effectiveness.
· Foster a culture of innovation within the technology team.
Skill/Knowledge Expectations
· Proven experience as a Manager of Infrastructure and Operations, Senior IT Manager or other equivalent position in a manufacturing environment.
· A strong understanding of emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, cloud computing and Iot, and how they can be integrated into the business.
·An in-depth understanding of cybersecurity threats and best practices to protect the organization’s data and infrastructure.
·Practical knowledge in managing and optimizing networking infrastructure including cloud-based on on-premises solutions.
·A deep understanding of IT operations and service management, including ITIL frameworks.
· Strong understanding modern manufacturing technologies, including automation and Industry 4.0 principles.
· Excellent knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and architectural frameworks.
· Proficient in data analysis and performance/operational metrics.
· Familiarity with current and emerging industry regulations and compliance requirements.
· Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
· Proactive problem solver with analytical mind with the ability to think strategically and to lead.
· Can develop and articulate a clear vision and strategy for how technology will be used within the company.
Educational Background
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
· Master’s degree preferred.
Industry Certifications (preferred)
· Project Management Professional (PMP)
· ITIL Certification
· Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Experience
· A minimum of 10 years of experience in a technology role with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership position.
· Experience in the manufacturing sector is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
· This role is an on-site operating in an office environment.
· Must be able to travel as required.
· Must possess a passport or be able to be issued a passport for international travel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
