About the Role
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.
Essential Functions
Partner closely with the Director of HR and the HR team on HR initiatives and programs to improve overall associate experience.
Monitor employee engagement by partnering with Managers on actions that will improve engagement and current roadblocks that are inhibiting team engagement.
Lead an open-door culture where team members feel heard, and issues are quickly resolved.
Provides consultation and advice to internal leaders to identify Human Resources gaps, opportunities, and risks.
Ensures consistent guidance and counseling of HR and company policies, while being flexible and understanding of each individual situation
Advance the leadership team's capabilities in developing their teams based on career aspirations, individual skills, and reinforcement of customer-centric and sales behaviors.
Collaborate with leaders to build teams that are committed to continuous learning through ongoing observations and reinforcement of policies and procedures.
Oversee and advise on the resolution of employee relations issues within the corporate organization.
Partner with Loss Prevention on investigations and strategies
Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.

Education & Experience Requirements
4-year degree or equivalent experience in HR or Business field
Experience in a corporate environment required, fashion/apparel industry preferred.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
Experience creating and managing HR strategies and goals.
Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
Proficient in MS Office
Ability to read operational reporting and interpret data.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
Skills in recruiting, selecting, and talent management of hourly team members and leaders.
Ability to support business leaders; coaching and consulting with them in growing the business and selecting and developing their teams.
Ability to influence across levels and partners (i.e. hourly team members, senior leaders, staffing partners)
Manage conflict, lead, and hold others accountable.
Ability to adapt to a fast paced environment and drive results.
Must be flexible to work a variety of hours as business demands including late evenings, weekends, and holidays
