The HR Systems and Data Analyst III coordinates various advanced and highly complex human resources system operations to determine the applicability of systems to support major organizational activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems that support human resource information systems.
- Provides advanced consultation to team members to optimize the use of information systems.
- Recommend system usage improvements to enhance workflow and efficiency.
- Monitor payroll and information systems interfaces to continuously review and modify the HRIS systems to provide accurate and timely information.
- Develop and execute functional system test script plans.
- Develop functional specifications for system change requests.
- Prepares for system upgrades and maintenance.
- Participates in system implementation, maintenance, complex troubleshooting, and complex problem resolution as a subject matter expert.
- Support end users regarding system problems and requests.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot application issues, escalating system discrepancies to the relevant parties, i.e., IT/Oracle.
- Maintain system setup through menu subsystems provided by vendor for specific end-user system functions.
- Translate user requirements into functional requirements that can be utilized to make and modify system configurations.
- Create and maintain reports using the reporting tools within each system.
- Integrate system data with Excel reports to provide customized reports for stakeholders.
- Develop and improve reporting standards to enhance insight into business metrics and KPIs.
- Develop training materials to support user adoption of the HRIS system
- Perform analysis of the organization/business units(s) to identify opportunities and challenges and recommend process and system improvements.
- Collaborate with project managers and sponsors to define project scope and vision and identify constraints, dependencies, assumptions, risks, and issues.
- Lead development for new-build requirements and enhancements.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five or more (5+) years of related experience
- HRIS configuration, interface, and reporting/analytics experience
- Project management experience
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
- Technical working knowledge of HRIS systems software, protocols, and standards, specifically Oracle Cloud:
- Oracle ORC/Recruiting
- Oracle Talent and Succession

- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent technical support documentation skills.

- Must have a basic understanding of relational databases.

- Must be able to document requirements specifications, data and process flow, project plans, and project timelines.
- Must be able to develop test cases as well as system test plans.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed. QA testing will require evening/weekend/ holiday availability on occasion.
