The Sr. HR Business Partner provides strategic and tactical HR business support to the Chief Technology Officer and the Andover, MA site. In addition to the CTO organization (R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and Medical Affairs), the incumbent will also support the Operations and Manufacturing functions at the site. The Sr. HRBP will be the first point of contact for site HR questions and concerns. The role focuses on a balanced mix of day-to-day workforce management, as well as strategic change management, employee engagement and organization design/effectiveness activities. This role partners with the other strategic leaders within the respective organization as appropriate. The position reports to the Senior Director of HR.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Aligned to the functional and HR Strategy, provides strategic HR Business Partnering support for client leaders, works with the respective leaders to develop and implement appropriate organizational plans, and build key capabilities required to achieve business objectives.
  • Acts as a partner to each of the functions to drive business growth, build talent and advance the embecta culture. Effectively partners with the business leaders to understand business challenges and pro-actively take steps to implement initiatives.
  • Engages with leaders to pro-actively identify people-related issues and initiatives, provide regular updates on planned activity, advise managers on employee implications of people related business decisions, and act as a coach to leadership.
  • Leads and supports client groups with organizational capability and capacity analysis and strategic workforce planning, organization design and employee engagement.
  • Develops and conducts team development/team building strategies both proactively and when necessary to improve team performance.
  • Facilitates effective performance management practices by helping to define success, establish measurements, provide feedback, and reward performance. Provide guidance and advice to managers on performance issues and issue resolution.
  • Drives the Talent Review process at the LT level to ensure the business is providing employee feedback and development per the needs of individuals and the business.
  • Responsible for timely resolution of employee relation issues and prevent possible disputes or litigation.
  • Provides strategic HR advisory support for complex HR issues and activities (e.g. RIF)
  • Responsible for Employee Engagement, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and Employee Retention. This includes building and executing relevant programs.
  • Provides consultative guidance for compensation and facilitate appropriate compensation reviews.
  • Partners with COEs to design, develop and deploy updated processes or changes.
  • Monitors and addresses attrition and retention as it relates to metrics.
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in HR Management, Business Administration, or related HR field.
  • 10+ years professional experience in Human Resources, in a generalist/HR Business Partner capacity that required change management, organizational effectiveness/development, employee relations, attracting and retaining talent.
  • Strong Business Partnering and change management experience.
  • Strong employee relations experience is a must.
  • Massachusetts Labor Law knowledge.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Strong influencing skills across multiple levels, functions and cultures with a sense of urgency, ability to navigate the organizational dynamics.
  • Strong data analytical skills and interpretation into an action plan
  • Building trust and collaboration.
  • Professional of Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) Certification desired
  • Ability to apply managerial courage and maintain relationships when confronted with complex and/or difficult situations.
  • Strong communication skills and executive presence.
