Project Kuiper is an initiative to design and launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to under-served communities around the world.
We are seeking engineer to work the systems engineering and project management activities as we define and develop the Guidance, Navigation, and Control systems and then integrate into a producible satellite. This is a technical role requiring direct experience with the development of complex, integrated systems in safety critical applications. You will have influence over the system design and over the approach we take to develop, manufacture, and then deploy a major, networked constellation of satellites.
This position requires some program management depth as well as direct experience developing relevant software and hardware systems. You will also play a technical role developing and analyzing requirements and interfaces for the constellation and the GNC systems. You will develop SW tools to support requirements and design analyses, trade studies, and eventually integration and testing. Your ability to take large, complex projects, break them into manageable pieces, and then drive our teams to deliver timely results will be invaluable.
You will work with all of the program's teams to successfully accomplish the following activities:
Develop and manage technical requirements and interfaces that tie to system level requirements and the Concepts of Operation for the system
Identify and conduct trade studies and analyses necessary to understanding GNC performance and other aspects of the design
Develop analysis tools and other infrastructure necessary to support systems engineering, design, analysis, and test
Develop program and team processes and tools as required
Perform integration and test planning and execution. Ensure the GNC integration plan and infrastructure will provide timely validation of the design.
Work with other program teams to deliver hardware and software well integrated with the satellite and other systems.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
