Job Opportunity: Senior Financial Tax & Accounting Specialist
Join Zing, an equal opportunity employer, in the exciting role of Contract Senior Financial Tax & Accounting Specialist at our Vance, AL location. We are looking for a skilled professional to contribute to our dynamic team.
Day Shift M-F 8-5
Full Time Contract 1 Year+
Pay: $45.67-$51.00/HR
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize expertise in Power BI, SAP, and advanced Excel for comprehensive data analysis
- Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities for positive organizational change
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury to ensure accurate financial transactions
- Analyze complex processes and systems data
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
- Complete monthly closings and prepare financial reports, ensuring compliance with month-end calendars
- Solve multiple complex operational and accounting challenges
- Execute judgment to drive project progress and facilitate monthly book closures
- Prepare detailed account analyses on a regular basis
- Conduct ICS self-assessment, roll-forward, and period-end controls
- Prepare financials for the company's bi-annual multi-year planning
- Reconcile accounts and clear open items
- Collaborate with IT department to maximize general ledger module functionality
- Ensure proper coding of invoices from an IFRS perspective
- Maintain tax accounting records, support partners with Federal and State income tax returns
- Oversee the preparation and timely filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, tax, and ledger functions
- Experience with Power BI, SAP, and advanced Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Demonstrated history of solving complex operational and accounting challenges
