As a Senior Electrical Engineer for Signage Hardware Lead at Aristocrat Technologies International (ATI), you will lead the development of the end-to-end gaming signage hardware upcoming products, help drive the overall strategy & technology roadmap, and be a part of the team designing future gaming experiences. You will be a key member of a cross-functional team ensuring the successful launch of fully integrated signage solutions that accompany banks of slot machines. Our signage solutions enhance the player experience, deliver beautiful content and meet the industry's highest standards. You will follow a phase gate approach that meet timely delivery, cost effective designs and performance expectations defined by technology roadmap.
What You'll Do
Technical Key Responsibilities:

• LED Display System Design Requirements: Define and architect LED display systems for casino gaming, considering factors such as cost, reliability, resolution, pixel pitch, color accuracy, and viewing angles to deliver exceptional visual performance.
• Technical Specifications: Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to define the technical specifications for displays (both LED and LCD), ensuring compatibility with digital content and meeting the requirements of associated hardware. This will involve display mapping that meets the hardware capabilities.
• Component Selection and Source Control: Identify and select appropriate display components, including LED or LCD panels, drivers, controllers, and power supplies, based on project requirements, cost, and performance criteria.
• Integration and Testing: Work closely with supplier quality, sourcing, and gaming operations teams that integrate LED displays into casino signage systems, ensuring seamless compatibility and functionality. Conduct rigorous testing to validate performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize display systems for visual quality, color accuracy, brightness, refresh rates, power efficiency, and heat dissipation, while considering space constraints and manufacturing requirements. This may involve fine-tuning settings, implementing calibration procedures, and leveraging advanced/custom image processing hardware.
• Documentation: Manage the creation of detailed documentation, specifications, and technical reports to facilitate collaboration with internal teams, external design studios, external suppliers, and regulatory authorities. Manage engineering change orders (ECO) and revision control with our PLM system applications.
• Industry Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in LED and LCD display technology, gaming industry trends, and relevant regulations to drive innovation and ensure compliance. G2E and DSE are examples of conventions local to Las Vegas centered around digital signage.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including suppliers, sourcing, program managers and quality engineers, to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery of high-quality display solutions.
• Media Controllers: Work with internal teams to determine the most appropriate media and lighting controllers to use for the specified application

• Provide support, direction, and leadership for all phases of manufacturing builds.

• Has defined authority and accountability for actions and decisions within project delivery, including functional, financial, quality, and timeline aspects.
• Absorbs complex information and communicates effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactively manages changes in project scope and identifies potential crises.
• Self-motivated to identify gaps in processes, making recommendations for improvements and getting buy in from senior management.
• Successfully apply a wide range of technical and/or management principles to manage and mitigate risk.
• Proactively balance and resolve conflicting stakeholder requirements - supply chain, service, quality, operator, marketing, finance.
• Directs and deploys engineering resources to meet the needs of the project.

What We're Looking For

• BS Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 5 years' experience in designing and architecting LED display systems for gaming or high-performance applications.
• Strong knowledge of LED & LCD display technologies, such as pixel pitch, resolution, color reproduction, and image processing.
• Proficiency in Electrical design software (Altium or Solidworks Electrical) for schematic design.
• Familiar with embedded systems and hardware interfaces (e.g., HDMI, DisplayPort).
• Experience with programming languages (e.g., C++, Python) for display control and testing purposes.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards related to displays/controllers in the gaming industry such as FCC and UL48.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
• Knowledge of LED display manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
• Knowledge of Media Controller capabilities and technical requirements
