As a Electrical Engineer, located in the Region's Maintenance or Maintenance Engineering Offices, you will provide technical leadership, direction of and/or performs assignments involving matters pertaining to transmission lines and/or substations.
This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at one of the duty locations below.

GS-12 Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Experience applying Electrical Engineering principles and practices applicable to the planning, maintenance, and operation of high voltage power systems (69kV or higher); and contributing to design specifications for electrical arrangements and equipment including substation bus configurations, power circuit breakers, transformers, transmission lines; and knowledge of power system controls, protection, relays, and meters.
GS-13 Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Experience independently applying Electrical Engineering principles and practices applicable to the planning, maintenance, and operation of high voltage power systems (69kV or higher); and establishing design specifications for electrical arrangements and equipment including substation bus configurations, power circuit breakers, transformers, transmission lines; and extensive understanding of power system controls, protection, relays, and meters. Serve as the on-site technical representative for commissioning and energizing of new power system equipment.
