AAR Corporation in looking for a Sr.Electrical Engineer to join our Aircraft Component Services team at their Garden City, New York facility. Our state-of-the-art facilities are equipped to repair, overhaul and maintain Aircraft component and parts for both commercial and military aircraft.
Role and ResponsibilitiesDesign, fabricate, develop and trouble shoot the electrical/electronic test equipment to support aircraft repair workshop include Avionics, Electro-mechanical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic aircraft components.
Provides technical support to the Electromechanical/Avionic/Instrument/Pneumatic/hydraulic production shops on tool/test equipment and troubleshoot/repairing.
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BSCS, BSEE from four-year College or university required. MSEE, MSCS preferred.
Relevant Experience 5-7 years' experience in an Aircraft MRO and/or Manufacturing environment or Electrical Industry environment required.
Design principles 5-7 years required.
- Design knowledge of AC and DC current, voltage, power, power factor, RC time constant, Ohm law, series/parallel equivalent circuits, node and loop analysis, Delta, and Wye circuitry. As well as electrical components: capacitor, resistor, transistor, MOSFET, inductor, Op-amp, motor, solenoid, relay, valve, wire, transformer, connector.
- Design test equipment, electrical hardware control and interface required. Include industrial instrumentation such as National Instrument DAQ, PLC, Motor driver, flowmeter, pressure, vibration, valve, and contactor relay.
- Experience using electrical & mechanical design drafting tools, such as OrCAD, PCB layout tool, Autodesk AutoCAD/Inventor or other.
- Advanced knowledge of LabVIEW programing, and PLC programming.
Salary: Range: $108,000 to $128,000
