NOTES:
The manager & his team are currently working a hybrid schedule where they come in the office a few days & work from home a few days. This would be allowed for the identified new hire as well.
Interview Process: Manager will phone screen the candidate first & will then schedule a MS Teams meeting w/the candidate & the team.
The ideal candidate understands high-volume commercial product design and is familiar with the design concepts of commercial portable and handheld devices - but this is not a requirement. They will be testing the prototype to ensure it is ready for production. Someone with microprocessor based design experience would be ideal. The mgr is looking for someone to hit the ground running & start ASAP.
Job Description:
Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment, or other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications. Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree is preferred. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience. Understands basic electronic circuitry concepts and is familiar with electronic design documentation and schematics. Has CAE experience (e.g. Cadence Schematic entry/Design tools). Is comfortable with electronics test and measurement equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and other common lab equipment.
