Job Description
Electronic Systems of Wisconsin, Inc, is a designer and builder of custom test equipment for the electric motor industry. We work with a variety of manufacturers to provide solutions on their production lines. The Project Engineer will be integral in the company to help develop new products as well as working with legacy products to make modifications required by the customers.
Responsibilities:
· Work with Sales to determine the scope of work and help with quoting projects.
· Work with internal personnel to develop new solutions requiring hardware and software design.
· Innovation/support for existing product lines including Resistance, Surge/Impulse and AC/DC Hipot testing.
· Automation control interfacing with some experience with modern Industrial automation/interfacing.
· Design equipment using electrical components and interconnects: mixed signal, analog, digital, power supplies, motion control and tuning solutions.
· Selecting hardware/materials needed to use on a project.
· Developing Bill of materials for assemblies, sub-assemblies, etc.
· Assist with documentation necessary for supporting customers & the manufacturing process.
· Write details specifications and requirements to document newly created designs and support product introduction.
· Test & debug new products.
· Travel and help with Installations at customer locations.
· Test, troubleshoot, or confer with peers to identify resolution of concerns or issues.
· Ensure conformance with all required safety certifications.
Qualifications:
· BS in Electrical Engineering (or related field) or equivalent experience.
· Software development using integrated development environment such as National Instruments Windows CVI , C & C++ programming, Graphical User interfaces or other programming languages are a plus.
· Knowledge of SQL Database interface and design.
· High voltage control experience – Hipot / Surge impulse testing.
· Understanding and knowledge of Data Acquisition Systems used in Automation and Test.
· Proficiency with Microsoft: Word, Excel, Access products.
· Working knowledge of basic electronic test equipment including: Oscilloscopes, DVM, Power Supplies, Signal Generators.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong problem solving, technical, math and science skills.
