Aspen Dental Management, Inc. (ADMI) was founded in 1998 by Robert Fontana and provides business support services to Aspen Dental practices across the US. When Aspen Dental was created, it was to break down the barriers that made it hard for patients to keep up with their dental health-affordability, transparency, and access. Realizing the key to better patient care started with the provider, we changed how the dental business worked. We built new relationships, expertise, and tools to help dentists run their businesses more effectively and better care for their patients. We have changed access to dental care nationwide. By providing business support in all areas including: Operations, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Revenue Cycle, Scheduling and Customer Service, we allow the practitioners to focus on the clinical care.
We are looking for Head of Content who is equal parts content marketer, copywriter and storyteller, and digital technologist to join our team, reporting to the VP of Brand Marketing. In this role, you will be responsible for developing content plans that align with the patient's journey and crafting the corresponding assets, including digital ads, social content, blog posts, bylines, newsletters, videos, and interactive web experiences - with an eye toward brand awareness, ongoing conversion, and continuous optimization. You should be a self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team and have a passion for writing, storytelling, and digital marketing. The ideal candidate will be data-informed to ensure we are looking at the entire ecosystem of content production to output relevant data, tracking success rates on outputs, and ensuring we are leveraging this data within our approach.
Job Overview
As the Head of Content, you will be an integrator across content development, production, and performance that impacts the entire Aspen Dental organization, internally and externally. You'll be the champion and challenger of Content Strategy, systems, and deployment-ensuring all goals/objectives, input and optimization are accounted for. The Head of Content also plays a pivotal role in shaping our brand's online presence and ensuring our messaging resonates with our target audience.
Key Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy: Develop and execute a Content Strategy that supports and amplifies Aspen Dental's brand identity, values, and commercial objectives across all channels.
  • Content Creation: Provide first-hand content generation and lead a team of content creators, including writers, editors, and designers, to produce high-quality, engaging content across various formats (blog posts, articles, videos, infographics, social media posts, etc.).
  • Audience Engagement: Understand our target audience and create content that addresses their needs, pain points, and interests, driving engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Performance and Analytics: Partner with channel leads to optimize content for each channel (ex: CRM, social, etc.) and regularly analyze performance using analytics tools to make data-driven decisions.
  • Content Calendar: Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure a consistent and strategic publishing schedule.
  • Content Distribution and Dashboard: Implement a content distribution strategy and dashboard to maximize reach and engagement through various channels, including social media, email marketing, and partnerships.
  • Brand Voice and Messaging: Maintain and evolve the company's brand voice and messaging guidelines, ensuring consistency across all content.
  • Content Quality Assurance: Ensure all content aligns with the company's standards for accuracy, quality, compliance and brand guidelines.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the content team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
  • Budget Management: Manage the content marketing budget, making efficient use of resources to achieve maximum impact.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and content marketing best practices, incorporating innovative ideas into the Content Strategy.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in content marketing, content creation, or a related role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Impeccable writing and editing skills (please share your portfolio or 3-5 content marketing samples).
  • Strong editorial judgment; ability to rapidly absorb complex ideas and distill them into accessible copy for global audiences.
  • A data-driven mindset, including the proclivity to measure, optimize, and report back on success metrics.
  • Proficiency in SEO, analytics tools, and content management systems or platforms (CMS, CMP).
  • Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
  • A deep understanding of digital marketing and branding principles. Experience with AI, ChatGPT and related technologies is strongly desired.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to confidently and tactfully engage with senior staff and subject-matter experts; skilled at achieving consensus and moving projects forward.
  • Exceptional organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, manage complex processes, and meet both short-term and long-term deadlines.

Salary: $190,000 - $230,000 + bonus opportunity.
