The FreelanceDirector of Content Experience will play a pivotal role in elevating and innovating the online presence of a global technology leader, enhancing its technological landscape and methodologies. Tasked with ensuring the impeccable quality of the website through rigorous testing, vigilant monitoring, and the implementation of industry best practices, the FreelanceDirector will be the key driver to advance the effectiveness of customer-facing web experiences. In this capacity, the FreelanceDirector of Content Experiencewill:
Role and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the overall functioning of a website, including performance, content, and user experience
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of a website, including content, design, and functionality
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Stakeholders, and team members to address any quality-related issues
- Understand and apply branding standards to maintain a consistent quality experience
- Work with the Test and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to develop and implement testing strategies
- Continuously evaluate the site against business-established performance goals and assess where improvements can be made, including product goals, key narrative elements, and marketing campaigns
- Utilize an existing design system to optimize user interactions
- Implement personalization strategies
- Work with content managers, researchers, and UX designers to optimize content organization and information architecture on individual pages and across sections of the site
- Analyze user research findings to make data-driven decisions and activate those changes
Required Experiences and Expertise:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Digital Marketing, Content Strategy, User Experience (UX) Design, Information Architecture or a similar field is highly desired
- At least 7+ years of proven experience in user experience, web content strategy, information architecture, or strongly-adjacent field
- At least 3 years leading a team focused on creating world-class experiences on the web
- Experience working in enterprise deployments of Adobe Experience Manager
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including project management, task prioritization, meeting facilitation, and meeting objectives on time
- Demonstrated experience utilizing a large component library to efficiently product new and updated content in web experiences
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong interest and drive to understand user behavior, preferences, and needs
- Ability to address issues related to website performance, reliability and user experience
- Good writing skills and ability to clearly articulate quality-related solutions to non-quality professionals
- Practical experience with testing tools and methodologies
Preferred Experiences:
- Experience using Core Components and Experience Fragments in AEM
- Strong proficiency in optimizing user journeys for intuitive experiences, including evaluating & optimizing local and site-wide navigations
- Proven success in driving research teams to optimize trends and opportunities.
- Adept at competitive analysis for strategic market positioning
- Practical experience with a program/tool prototyping tool (one or more of the following): Figma, XD, InVision, or Sketch
- Sophisticated understanding of web quality standards and best practices
- Experience of participation in a Design Thinking Workshop
- Hands-on experience in planning and facilitating user research activities
- Experience working in an Agile environment
